'Write down the vision and engrave it plainly.....so that the one who reads it may run'
- Habakkuk 2:2
This bible verse was it for me at some point in my life, until procrastination took over. Its very important to have a dream firstly and then be able to put that down in a way that translates to action points and measures of success as you deem fit.
I'm currently working on my business plan alongside a vision board and I have to say that it tasks you. I assumed it would be easier than this because well I just thought, I have a clear idea of what I want to do and all I need to do is basically write it out.
I have in the past put together skeletal documents that had an overview of what my lingerie business would be about, including its USP (Unique Selling Point) and value proposition so I felt like I had it covered.
However, breaking it down into a fully detailed plan is a different ballgame entirely. Now I don't mean to scare you, but it forces you to think! Really think!!
It helps though, because you find that you are considering things that you probably didn't think were important and opens your mind up to a lot of possibilities.
Also, when you break stuff down from a broad vision into more achievable goals, the mountain ahead of you does not seem so large and you definitely feel like you're a step closer to making your dreams a reality. When you have your vision written down and properly visualised, its easier to run with it.
Not quite sure how I feel about my connection with a vision board though, however I'm still working on it and will let you know how it goes...
Lets stay motivated!!!!
I believe it's a phase everyone would go through eventually in life.
So keep going strong, don't take your eyes off the price
